Peach Whiskey Sour

I have been exploring a lot with mixology these days. The pandemic has shed light on a lot of our forgotten skills… well, making drinks hasn’t ever really felt like one of mine LOL! Though, a little practice and genuine interest has proven to go a long way. Whiskey sours used to be one of my favorite drinks when I was younger, and hence was a delight to veganize and enjoy! You will see that this recipe calls for peanut butter whiskey. I REALLY like how lovely the peanut butter notes go with the fruitiness of this drink, but feel free to use regular whiskey too! Tag me @thepresumptuouspepita if you make this! I hope you love it!

Makes 2 servings

4 ounces peanut butter Whiskey (you can totally use regular whiskey)

2 ounces peach simply syrup (or just maple syrup)

2 ounces lemon juice

2 tsp aquafaba (fluffed)

  • Whisk aquafaba in a small bowl until peeks form.

  • place the other ingredients into the bowl and stir with ice until thoroughly mixed and the drink is nice and cold

  • strain into a cup and garnish with a peach slice and a cherry

  • ENJOY!

To make the peach simple syrup use:

1/2 cup of sugar

1/2 cup of water

3/4 cup of sliced peaches

  • boil all ingredients

  • let sit 45 minutes

  • cool and strain into a small mason jar being sure to press down in the peaches to get as much sugary sweet juice out as possible.

  • be sure to use those peaches for ice cream, pop tarts, or a sweet smoothie
